Mónica Deza Pulido
Mónica Deza is Vice President of Innovation for
McCann Worldgroup Iberian Division (McCann is the biggest communication group
in Spain and the leader in terms of Neuromarketing).
She´s a widely recognized professional in the field of communication, always a step ahead in innovation and a genuine precursor in the development of new technologies and science applied to business & management in Spain.
She heads the McCann Innovation Center and the
Group´s Neuroscience Unit, which she created six years ago. McCann is the first
Group exploring and developing the field of neuroscience applied to
media-communication in Spain. The company currently owns probably one of
the biggest neuromarketing research in Spanish Culture.
Aware of the relevant role that neurosciences will play in the knowledge revolution and the current lack of diffusion of this discipline in Spain, she organized most of neuromarketing and neuroeconomy events in Spain since 2006, being the last one the Ist International Congress of Neuroscience applied to Marketing and Communication, , which took place in the City of Arts & Sciences of Valencia , last September 2011.
Deza is President and one of the founder of AINA
(Iberoamerican Association of Neuroscience applied to Business and
Communication) and member of the APD Board of Directors. The
APD, Association for the Management Progress, is one of the most important
professional association in Spain, counting with more than 3.000 executives and
main Spanish companies representatives. She´s also one of the founder and first
Vice President of the MMA (Mobile Marketing Association) Spanish Chapter
She was recently named one of the 100 most
influential women in Spain in 2011 and As well, she´s author of several books,
such as; “Nomad consumers” (2007) first book including a bidi code in Spain),
“Personal Branding” (co-author) (2010) and “Your Brain is everything” (co-author) (2011).
Finally, Deza has an intense activity as
speaker in the main national as well as international forums, which she uses as
unique platforms to spread the importance of Neuromarketing today.
Being a respected expert in this field, and having daily professional relationship with educational, scientific and companies´ making decision leaders, she thinks she would be a great candidate for chairing the NMSBA in Spain, being able to develop and broaden the activities of this Association in the country.
